HELP!!!
Right techy/more 'puter literate people than me! I'm trying to start a new game of a classic championship manager session to see me safely through til bedtime.. except the game/PC reckons I don't have enough free memory to do this - when in reality, I have more than enough free memory for this... So for some reason, Leah and I decided to visit the National Wallace Monument today.. thats right.. climb a hill and wander up a very exposed and high tower in torrential wind and rain!!! Needless to say, conditions weren't ideal outside up top!!! Still, was good tho, and Leah was happy with her raincoat/poncho which she got free!! We've decided to go again.. when its a bit sunnier and warmer!! best bit was a talk from an actor outside - one of the Wallace soldiers! We were there with an English family - whenever he mentioned something about killing English, I gave him a cheer - I think they were getting a little worried....... Money well spent......
Christmas is approaching.... gifts are hopefully gonna be delivered on time!!! So I place some orders with Amazon, pay a bit extra to ensure they get delivered as quickly as possible in the hope they arrive with me before December 25th! At the same time, I order some things for me (Broon is buying books again - what is going on), but opt for free delivery and just get them to me whenever you can - no rush!!! So today, the book for me arrive, here I am flicking through all three of them to decide which ones to read first, but where are the super-duper mega speed delivery items that I reaaly need to arrive soon!!! How do I keep my workmates entertained....
...by telling them of my misfortune/stupidity! So, today's story…. Today was the first of my correctional massages. This meant had to be up early and leave house to get there for 10. Also meant had to shower here, so packed bag with things to wear, towel etc and was ready to go. Went downstairs, put bag down – went to kitchen for early morning drink to wake me up – nice pint of juice, ready for the day – off I go! Got to massage (late – f***ing traffic) and had the living daylights beaten out of me for 45 minutes! Pain – oh aye.. and this was the first, so easiest session! Left and headed down to car – thought entered my head… “did I pick up my bag?” Answer came when I got to car – nope!!! So I could turn up for work in jeans, offensive T-shirt, unwashed and smelly (like Fridays) but run the risk of being sacked, or I could go via TK Maxx and Boots and stock up on clothing and toiletries and make myself look presentable! So shopping it was! Bought trousers, belt, socks, pants, shirt and jumper – even a bag to carry it all in – and bought a towel for shower. Then onto Boots for shower gel, scoosh and toothbrush & toothpaste (which reminds me – must go clean teeth). So all set for showering and getting changed at work. So everything I’m wearing is brand spanking new…. Now the best bit…. The pants I got weren’t quite as I expected them to be… in truth I am wearing what could possibly be best described as a male stripper posing pouch! With a gold trim around the top!!!!! Only me, eh!!! I may be doing a session of viewings for the pants sometime soon! Book your appointments early! Current Mood:  working |

Lunchtime.....!
So its half 10 in the morning..... I've been at work for 4 hours..... technically, I'm now on my lunch break! Why did I think this was a good idea....!? How big is 12 inches anyway....?
At the start of this year, I had to order (online I might add as normal shops don't really do them) 50 inch waist trousers! Not good! Today, I have bought and very comfortably fit into 38 inch waist trousers! Thats a whole foot lost from my belly alone! And I still need to wear a belt! Go me... Greek adonis in no time! |

Why....?
So today I was starting work at 8.30 in the morning! Except it became closer to a 9am start! Why? Because I essentially spent 45 minutes in the car with the handbrake on and in neutral! How do people do it on a daily basis! Journey at my usual time of work = 25 minutes on a good day, to 35 minutes on a bad day. Journey time today - 1 hour and 15 minutes! Hmmmmmmm.... |

It started as just another day.... And ended as a night he'd never forget!
So... Friday night! Driving home from work as I do. Dropped of Ciaran at his and proceeded down to bypass. Got on bypass and happily cruising along, radio on, all is well. Looked in mirror - is that sparks I see.. hmmm.. I bet some chancer has thrown a still lit fag out of the window and I've hit it - just looked into mirrors and point of impact. Checked mirrors again - still sparks - lots of sparks and people flashing their light at me. Very not good. One of two things, must be dragging something along the ground, or exhaust has fallen and is being dragged - that won't be good. Turn down radio. No sounds of anything being dragged. No sounds of anything being loose! Curious. Looked in mirrors again - more sparks. More people flashing lights! Oh dear. Worse, hard shoulder has just disappeared. Baws! Better slow down then.. oooh more sparks. Where are these fucking emergency lay-bys? Phew... found one, lets see whats causing all this. Get out (climbing over to get out passenger side - safety first). Go round to back of car and........ NOTHING!! All looks fine and well! In fact, probably never lokoed better! So whats causing the sparks then! Maybe somthing at the front - nope - all good there too. Wait a sec, whats that, under the light just where the bumper attaches to car.. ahhh.. a little flame! Yes, thats FLAME! Hmmm... flame in amongst all the electrics of the car (well the lights) - don't fancy popping the hood for a closer look (safety first) I'll go phone fire brigade from phone in layby. "Hello, there is a wee fire in my car, can someone come and put it out" "Aye, no problem, they're on their way" "great, thanks". I turn around, the little flame has grown and suddenly wooomph! Thats WOOOMPH! The whole of the front of the car goes up into a ball of flames! Rather glad I got out now! Smoke is sailing high into the sky, accross both sides of bypass, cars are slowing for a closer look and to save their lives - all with hazard lights on! Flames gettign bigger, smoke gettign higher! Wow! Out come the police. Out come the fire brigade. out come a shit load of cones to shut off the first lane. Story given to fire brigade. Story given to police. Car written off and now safely in the hands of the insurance who will try to work out what happened and how they can worm out of giving me any money! Anyone know of any cheap cars for sale? |

Broon Still Lives... Just About!
Alright all! As I'm eating my lunch at my desk, I thought I'd update this thing to show moderate signs of life! Whats been happening in Broonland? Well, just got back from a holiday in Tunisia with Lynsey and Leah. It was good, but was ready to come home after 2 weeks. Very hot and sunny. Even hotter the couple of days it got cloudy! Went to see some old building that are just about still standing (I like things like that). Almost got a bit of a tan too! I've dropped around 3 and a half stone since most of you last saw me. So still a right big fat git, just not quite as big and fat as I was! I wear insoles in my shoes to try and straighten me out. I was having ankle problems which were all caused by my old knee problems. Too much over compensating by my body ended up with my poor wee ankle carrying most of my weight for about the last 6-7 years! So some insoles should properly re-align everything! Playing 5-a-side footy again doon Porty. Getting quite seriously beaten every week. My legs, knees, ankles and for some reason fore-arm tend to be quite stiff and sore as a result! Work is strangely quite busy these days. There always seems to be something to keep me entertained. Romanian spreads is my current chore of choice! Thats pretty much all there is in Jordi world just now! Here's to the next update in 3-12 months! Current Mood: tiredCurrent Music: Hovver - my area is being cleaned just now |
